Austin says and does some fun things these days. I don't want to forget them.
1. One Saturday morning we had football on TV as we worked around the house. Austin came running in to the room doing a little shuffle-run like a quarterback about to pass. He threw a little football at me and told me he was playing football. The best part- he was wearing his tight pajama pants pulled up to just below his knees. After a few throws he would adjust them to make sure they were at proper uniform length.
2. Austin loves any ball he can play with. Out of the blue he started throwing them at us as hard and quick as he could when we weren't expecting it. If we flinched at the ball hurtling at our face or didn't catch it he would say "don't be scared (of the ball)!"
3. Austin is a pretty tidy 3 year old, and oh so helpful. Sometimes this means he puts his dirty dishes in the dishwasher full of clean dishes, or he starts unloading the dirty silverware from the dishwasher. I've had dirty clothes put in the hamper with clean clothes too. If he spills anything as he's eating he needs a napkin or paper towel to clean it up (which usually means a messy floor). I love that he wants to help me. Now if he only had the same desire for his toys....
