Less than a month!

Baby Austin will be here in less than a month! A week ago I left Utah and came to Oregon, and the day after (Friday) I had my 36 week check-up with my new doctor. I had the group B strep test done, and I'm already dialiated 2.5 cm and 75 % effaced! Apparently that's pretty unusual to be so far along this early on, but it's good news because the Doctor said he would induce me on Tuesday July 12th if the baby didn't come before then.
Unfortunately, the following day, Saturday, I came down with a cold. I've decided that it should be against the laws of nature to get sick when you're over 36 weeks pregnant because dealing with extra fatigue when I already have very minimal energy is not fun. It was already hard enough to sleep without the coughing and stuffy nose... and I need to store up all the sleep I can! :)
It's been so nice to be with family. If I have to be sick it's nice to at least have them around to help take care of me.

Miss Crafty-Pants

Yes, I've become a Miss Crafty-Pants. Since I've had some time on my hands I've come up with a few fun creations for baby's room.

First I made these little button magnets... they were very complex, I'm sure you can tell. :)

I glued jute in a spiral and glued a few buttons on for another magnet variety. I made the magnets for this magnet board, just covered a metal sheet with fabric (after gluing cardboard on the back to protect the wall and make it a tad bit thicker), and voila! This project was a little tricky because I had to hunt down the metal sheet at Home Depot after failing to find what I needed at Ace Hardware. FYI- Home Depot is HUGE, and Aluminum in NOT magnetic. That info could save you some time if you're going to try this at home. :)It looks a little more like a magnet board when something is actually hanging on it...Last of all, I took these from our dining room, changed them up, and made this little photo- display/art thingy. I'm not sure if I like the blue clothes pins or not. It was kind of a pain to make them blue, and I think I like the look of the plain/classic clothes pin... thoughts?
It's been nice to work on these little projects... and there's more in the making!

Still Growing

In this picture I'm 31.5 weeks along. As of today I'm two days away from 33 weeks.

When I first took this picture I vowed that it would never be posted on the internet for the world to see, but now I'm too lazy to actually take a new one and upload it to my computer so... here it is. Please keep in mind that I cleaned two bathrooms prior to this. We're talking deep clean here; I was feeling very energetic that day. They sparkled. :)

Mission Reunion

Parker doesn't usually go to his mission reunions, but when he heard that his mission president would be in town he was definately there! It was nice to meet his mission president and his wife, even though I couldn't understand a word of what they said. Parker enjoyed catching up with old friends from his mission in Nicaragua.

This sweet lady lightly rubbed my belly for probably a full minute while she was talking to Parker in Spanish. I just stood there and smiled at her (since I didn't have a clue what they were saying and had nothing to add to the conversation). The situation made me laugh, she was just so sweet and excited for us, but that was the first time someone had done that.

Someday I'll Be There (Parker too!)

My brother graduated from college. Parker and I were able to attend his graduation and spend some time with my family. I took a few pictures after the graduation, and some of them sure make me laugh.

Cami's face in this one is priceless.

I think this is my dad's "scholarly" face.

I did get one good picture of my cute sisters. :)

Parker and I will graduate... someday. It was great to go back to Rexburg and walk around campus (even though it does look a lot different!). It brought back many memories. Of course, it was nice to enjoy lunch at Craigo's and dinner at Big Jud's too. Yum! Congrats big brother! Thanks for graduating so we could all celebrate! :)

Belly Pic

Here's the latest picture (28 weeks along, taken April 24th) of my growing belly. I'm 29.5 weeks now, so I'll be going to the doctor every two weeks now instead of just monthy. Unfortunately that also means i'm going to have to step on a scale every two weeks instead of monthy. Not fun, but worth it. :)
