I'm so proud!

Many of you may know that Parker has a terrible fear of needles/blood/anything related to it. When our ward announced the blood drive, Parker decided to conquer his fear and try to give blood! I wasn't sure he would really go through with it, but surprise surprise he did, and he did a marvelous job at that... no fainting or anything. :) I would have given blood too, but I wasn't feeling 100%, so I was just there for moral support...
As you can see... he nearly died. ;) He just likes to be dramatic so you can all understand the magnatude of his accomplishment.

As a side not, I made some delicious fried rice last week... I didn't really follow a recipe, but Parker loved it, (as you can see below, I'm picking in it, so I liked it too) and since I made a big batch, we had plenty of leftovers. :)

Family Fun in Mona

Since my parents were staying in Mona with my Grandparents for the weekend, we decided to join the fun. After church on Sunday (where I got my new calling, Relief Society Pianist) we drove down, ate good food, and visited with lots of family, Adam and Shanna (my brother and sister-in-law) Grandpa and Grandma, Aunt Amy, Uncle Carl and Aunt Mary's family, and Uncle Paul and his kids. We spent the night since we didn't have school on Monday, and had a marvelous time, especially riding the four-wheeler... we'll be back to visit soon!

Valentines Day!

Parker and I had a wonderful valentines day! We had a delicious breakfast of egg mcmuffin sandwiches that Parker made, and Orange Julius that I made. Later, we went to lunch with my Grandparents and Parents who were in town for the weekend, then went to the Provo Temple. When we got home, Parker had a whole classic valentines gift/surprise all laid out for me! (Thanks Kevin for helping him out!) I was pretty excited, because I was actually surprised. We made dinner together (Chicken Stuffed Croissants) and went to a movie, He's Just Not That Into You (which I really enjoyed. I thought it was pretty clever, and of course, being a chick flick helps too). It was a fun filled day, and I'm looking forward to next year!

Kristen's Getting Married

My good friend Kristen is getting married in July, and I had the privilage of going dress shopping with her last weekend! It was so fun, and brought back lots of memories for me too. I'm so excited for her! :)

And FYI, this isn't the dress she picked, that's a secret. ;)

Sunday Stories

I love Sundays! They're my favorite day of the week. I get to go to church (which is good, but 8:00 in the morning comes early!) and come home to my apartment and do whatever I want... try out a new recipe, take a nap, scrapbook. It's a day of rest that I enjoy. :) Today we actually had a wonderful stake conference, and got a new stake presidency. I came home and tried out a couple new recipes, Eckenfelder Chicken Casserole (which I'd never had before) and Carrots Lyonnaise (which is a favorite at Grandma Talbot's house, but I've never made it before). They were both exceptional... I've made a whole menu for the week, and I'm pretty excited to try out some new recipes. If they go well, I'll probably post about it. :)

This is kind of a side note, but as Parker was taking pictures I happened to notice his teeth are crazy white... I don't know how he does it, and I'm a little jealous. That's all.

I Graduated!

It's official! I got my diploma in the mail yesterday, and it's beautiful! I didn't realize how excited I would be, but I'm pretty proud... Only 2 more years to go and I'll get another. :)
