Poor Me

I hate being sick! I don't know what I have, but it's horrible and needs to go away. Sigh. I could go on and on about how miserable it is, but that's really not all that interesting... so, I won't. Moving on...

There's an older couple that come to work on the Orchard during the summers. They recently got a new puppy that my sisters watched for an afternoon. Nothing like an adorable, innocent little puppy to raise your spirits when your sick right!? So cute!

Kristen's Wedding

Last Thursday I got to attend one of my best friend's wedding! My Parents, sister (Anna) and I headed up to Portland for the event. The sealing was great and she looked SO happy. I'm so happy for her! We took pictures at the temple and went to lunch at the Olive Garden. Here's a few pics from the day...

Mom and Anna... so cute!

Parker, this one's for you! Remember the pic you took of me when we were at the Portland Temple?Anna's awesomeness :) Anna and me being silly and bored on the drive home...

Hand and Foot

Parker and I love to play a card game called Hand and Foot. It's so fun, and last Sunday we had a sort of "tournament." I won the first game. That of course wasn't ok with Parker, so we had a rematch. He won the second game (by a lot!) and we agreed to have a third and final game to determine the all out Hand and Foot champion. I thought Parker was going to win but I came back in the very last round and killed it! Yeah! I'm so proud. We love that game, and that's just one more thing I miss about being away from Parker. I need all his trash talking and his occasional win to keep me humble. :)

Fourth of July Fun

Parker and I had a fun, laid back fourth of July celebration. We saw Up, (very cute) had a little bbq with Kevin and Danny (they work with Parker) and set off fireworks. Kevin bought a package of fireworks to set off and we were all very disappointed when everything was just smoke stuff. No fire or sparks, just smoke. :( Thankfully, and surprisingly, when we were nearly all done with the smoke bombs, Citizens Community Bus pulled up to us, a guy opened the door and asked us if we wanted to buy more fireworks. I guess this guy drives the bus during the day and at night drives around and sells fireworks. We ended up getting firecrackers, roman candles, other super cool fireworks that I'm pretty sure were illegal. It was great, but made me a little nervous at how excited these guys were getting at the thought of doing reckless things with them. We all survived though. Don't worry.

Pretty smoke...

It drifted... it was pretty smokey.

Kevin's pretty excited.

A few of the lame smoke ones...

Does Parker look intimidating... emerging from the smoke!?

And Kevin's oh so mysterious...

And... The End. We had fun.

Third of July Fun

Well, on the 3rd, Parker and I planned to just go out to eat at The Cheesecake Factory. On our way, we happened to have a great view of the fireworks show going on in downtown Columbus. We pulled over on the freeway, along with most everyone else, and enjoyed the show. It was great! After eating, we walked around in the outdoor mall area. All the stores were closed, but there were still quite a few people around at the different restaurants. It was a nice night, so we sat and enjoyed the outdoor furniture being advertised outside some fancy store. We entertained ourselves with our camera and people watching. It was so relaxing and so fun!

Parker's new boat shoes that he can't say enough good things about... he LOVES them!
Parker looks so silly...

There's A Mouse in my House!!!

I have a horrible irrational fear of mice. I don't really know why, and I didn't even realize how bad it was until today about an hour ago when I was sitting in my living room watching House and happen to look over to my left and see a mouse scurry in the corner. I then proceeded to panic and freak out as I called Parker (which scared him... he thought someone was breaking in by the sound of my voice). It was rediculous... I watched the mouse scurry around for a minute or two and made a break for the stairs to run up to our bedroom where I could feel a little more protected. I'm still freaked out. I can't wait for Parker to come home and set traps and kill the rodent. Gross.

Moving on, Parker and I have a place to live when we go back to Provo! We've been on the searching for the past couple weeks and were starting to fret a bit. We can't move in until September 10th, which is almost two weeks after school starts, and we haven't figured out what we'll do before that, but... oh well. :) We'll have a nice two bedroom apartment in North Wymount to move into when the time comes. Yay for a place of our own... and it better be mice free!!
